Program Description

Original upstream prevention curriculum for youth aged 12-16, co-developed with a registered art therapist at the Jean Tweed Centre (2022) following formal training in expressive arts therapy. Supports emotional regulation, self-expression, and relational safety before youth require more intensive mental health and substance use support.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Use art-making as a tool for emotional expression and regulation
  2. Develop vocabulary for naming and communicating internal states
  3. Practice relational safety in a group context
  4. Build self-awareness and personal strengths through creative inquiry
